In 2017 the whole photography movement evolved in a unique way. Even more than before it became the meeting point for a new generation of multi-talented artists with a strong, wild, need of self-expression.

I’ve always believed in the importance of being THAT good in something, at least at onething. That’s why i’ve never got into the video-stuff for example. I was 100% positive that it was absolutely impossible being that good in both photography and videography or whatsoever. You had to lose something in terms of quality in either one of the fileds. Everytime i saw someone with a profile like “model & mua” or “model & photographer” there was something that doesn’t feel right to me. I’m not saying that you can’t be both by some weird moral law. But i was sure that you cannot be equally good in two different aspect of self-expression.
Then i’ve met Marta in one my last trip in Rome.
She took all my convinctions and threw them down the toilet.
Marta is a beautiful girl, a talented makeupartist and a wonderful model. That’s it.
We’ve met few day before to do a quick outdoor session which is at least mandatory in a unique city such as Rome. We’ve spend the whole afternoon toghether walking and talking, surrounded by a city much more frenetic than usual. It was the “Summer feel” starting to excite everybody around.
Hundreads of people were working hard all along the Tevere river, one of the sweet spots for the summer nightlife in Rome.
At the end of the day we felt victim to an unbeareable heat so we decided to meet us one again in few days in a different and “colder” location.
We had the chance to use a lovely flat inside the Jewish Ghetto as location for another shooting.
Marta was absolutely amazing. One of the realest shooting i’ve ever realized so far plenty of natural and tastefull poses.
It’s always a huge satisfaction when a model succeded in being 100% herself in one of my shootings.
It goes without a doubt that her previous on-set experience as a makeupartist allowed her to evelve as a professional as well as a human being.
Marta gave me tons of beautiful pictures and a renewed desire of experiment diffent aspects of the self expression. Working with her made me realize the importance of the pictures we didn’t take, preferring the dialogue, the sharing, and the (hopefully) mutual growth.
As a futher example, i can point out many models that started experimenting as photographer being able to produce outstanding works. Their experience as models give them a unique sensibility and taste that those who stick to just one field of the visual communication will hardly reach.
Enough with the words. It’s showcase time 😀
